i wonder how this will affect the minds of the watchtower legal dept' as they try to cover their masters 'corporate' asses once again.. .
while still holding out against any meaningful reform of their fatal 'no blood transfusion' policy they will now have to justify themselves as the originators, promoters and enforcers of said policy while simutaneously attempting to absolve themselves of any responsibility of the consequences thereof.. .

we view the Watchtower only as a corporate entity, forgetting it is very much a religious entity as well and will under the law defend itself both on religious and corporate grounds.
Can you please give any evidence that the Watchtower Society is a religious entity? Any at all?

Just to be totally anal, if you are referring to Max Larson, he is not a member of the GB. He is much more powerful than that, as he is the President of the WTB&TS of New York, and a member of the newly formed U.S. Branch committee. But since he is not of the anointed, he is not on the GB.
I keep up on Max cause I sat next to him for my one and only week spent at Bethel. At the time I did not realize just how big a player he was. He was at our DC last year.
my mother told me that she got a video from a sister that already went to the convention.
the entire program was recorded except for the prayers.
the sister said the society says we have to shut off the recording if the prayer is being given.

june 20th marked a new beginning for me and yourschelbie.. we had a justice-of-the-peace wedding, with just a few family and friends on hand.
the judge did a marvelous job of capturing the essence of the meaning of marriage in just a few minutes.
(and we weren't reminded that serving a publishing company should be the #1 priority in life, lol.).

i cam close to being disfellowshipped once,i was a servant so they only took awy all of my duties,and priv's.but i know a sister even dated her for 10 months who has been disfellowshipped 3 times.it was kind of funny because her 2 fleshly sisters got disfellow'ed around the same time and they all didnt seem to care and went to jamaica for 3 weeks.1 of them even came back pregnant.
My parents have both been DF'd and reinstated twice. Somehow I managed to be a good little JW, till I realized what a load of crap it all is.

Not to be a dub apologist, but I have a tough time agreeing with the idea of needing a permit to discuss religion. Its one of those "slippery slope" type issues, I think. This is not something else the government should have to be involved in.
But I do find this comment by the JW to be ironic:
"Freedoms have always been very, very important to us, especially the freedom of speech, not just religion."
I think we all know JWs could care less about the freedom of speech and religion, unless it gets in their way. There is no freedom of speech inside the Kingdom Hall.

Ok, I gotta chime in.
First of all, huge Marvel comics fan, been waiting like forever for them to start making cool movies based on my favorite comics. Not that X-Men and Spiderman were perfect films, but so much better than lame 70's tv shows or Saturday morning cartoon versions.
So I like the idea of a Hulk movie that is a little closer to the comic than the TV show was. But the CGI so far looks very cheesy. They can make dinosaurs, they can make Jar-Jar, they should be able to make the Hulk. And if they change the storyline too much, it will not help.

Most of those individuals you mention never claimed to be a divine being with supernatural powers, sent here by God as mankind's only hope. That's why no one gets too bent out of shape over whether they were "real" or not.
